Society of Government Meeting Professionals (SGMP) is the only national organization in the United States dedicated exclusively to improving the knowledge and expertise of individuals in the planning and execution of government meetings through education, training, and industry relationships. Your local chapter provides a forum for meeting professionals to:

National President's Vision 2011-2013

SGMP has had 14 national presidents over the last 30 years and each one has brought a special vision to advance our Mission & Objectives
Our current president's vision is for SGMP to be the premier member-based and member-focused organization in the meetings industry, specializing in the government market. We will accomplish this through: 1) continued growth at a sustainable level, 2) industry-leading educational resources and, 3) expanded national opportunities for member involvement.

2012 NEC in New Orleans, LA

• The 2012 SGMP NEC will be held in New Orleans, LA, on May 16- 19, 2012. This will be our 30th annual NEC — the biggest annual event in the government meetings industry — is where government professionals from across the country come together for one-stop and non-stop education, resources and networking.
